The house
A village house, run by a family
On Place des Ormeaux, in the heart of Tourtour, since 2014.

The place
Green shutters, stone and two terraces
La Farigoulette stands on one side of Place des Ormeaux, in the heart of Tourtour: green shutters, a wooden sign and a vaulted stone dining room.
And two terraces — one on the square, in the shade of the olive trees, the other facing the Haut-Var panorama.
In Provençal, farigoule means thyme — the wild thyme of the garrigue that flavours almost everything cooked here. A name for a home rather than a shop sign: short, musical and already a little fragrant.

Our story
A family affair since June 2014
The Simon family — Sébastien, Nathalie and Maxime — took over the house in June 2014. The same family has run the restaurant, bar and tobacconist on Place des Ormeaux ever since.
That is what gives the place its particular rhythm: the first coffee at half past six, lunch on the terrace, an aperitif at sunset, dinner under the string lights. The whole village passes through during the day.
A place to live
Restaurant, bar, tobacconist
- I
The table
Family-style cooking, local, seasonal and home-made. Lunch and dinner on the terrace, in the vaulted room or out on the square.
- II
The bar
Morning coffee, an early-evening glass, ice cream in summer. You are welcome to stop by without eating.
- III
The village
Tobacconist and newsagent: the house is part of everyday life in Tourtour as much as of its life as a destination.
Summer evenings
The square, the lights, the olive trees
As night falls, the square lights up and the tables spill out beneath the trees. Dinner is served in the middle of the village, between ochre façades and green shutters.
